Mad Cow Theatre

FAQs

  • How can I learn about auditions at Mad Cow Theatre?

We send out audition information several times a year, CLICK HERE  to receive email information. Generally, there is one main call per year in the fall.
  • I have a script I'd like to send to Mad Cow.
    What do I do?

Plays cannot be accepted or considered via e-mail or any electronic submission. We are accepting new works that are accompanied by a letter of recommendation from the artistic director at a professional theatre or similar. If at this time, you do not have an appropriate source who can recommend your play, you can still send us a letter of inquiry along with a synopsis and a 10-page selection from the script.  We will make every effort to respond within two months.

  • How did Mad Cow Theatre get it's name?

In 1997, the Founding Members were trying to decide what to call the new theatre group as they needed to send in a press release the same day.   Names came and went. Someone (we think it was Russ B.), tossed out "Mad Cow" - everyone laughed.   A name was born.   We are very partial to cows.
