PURPLE COW is a fast-paced and thoroughly interactive introduction to poetry and the FUN of expressing yourself with language. Through classics such as "Jabberwocky", "I Never Saw A Purple Cow" and an assortment of rock 'n roll songs and schoolyard rhymes, students will remain completely involved. The audience will enter into the whimsical world of nonsense verse, and even create and perform their very own poem! Language jumps off the page and comes to life, inspiring a whole new generation of poets with the wonders of the spoken word.

Audience:

• Grades 4-5, with consultation with the teacher can be expanded to 3rd-6th graders.

Purple Cow is 35 minutes long with a 15 minute meet and greet that can be tailored to meet the teacher's needs. This show is performed by 3 actors with minimal stage requirements. A study guide is included.
