Sara Catherine Barnes (Rose) is thrilled to be returning to the pasture. You may have seen her at Mad Cow as Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual....Spelling Bee, Jenny in Company, Gymnasia in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum and Woman One in It Was A Very Good Year 1940, 1946, 1950, 1956, 1960 and 1966. Some of Sara’s favorite roles include Wendy Jo in the National Tour of Footloose:The Musical, Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Cordelia in Falsettos. Sara has a BFA in Musical Theatre from UCF where she received two Irene Ryan Nominations for her roles as Chava in Fiddler On The Roof, and Rosabella in The Most Happy Fella. Love to family and friends.
Bobbie Bell (Jack) is grateful to be serving again in the green pastures at Mad Cow and is especially honored to finally work with Katrina Ploof, a director whose work he has long admired. An Orlando based writer, director, actor, composer, and teacher, he’s previously performed at Mad Cow in Macbeth, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Major Barbara, Life is a Dream, and The Fantasticks. Previous directing credits here include: The Year of Magical Thinking, The Caretaker, and A Delicate Balance. He is twice winner of the Florida Playwrights Competition for his plays: Pascua De Flores and Of: a Play of Artemis.
Brian Brightman (Member of Actors' Equity Association - Michael) is happy to be back at Mad Cow for his third production. Originally from PA, he has lived in NYC, Seattle and Los Angeles and most recently traveled to Chicago to audition for the Steppenwolf Theatre. He is excited to be ‘tasting’ Ireland once again as he has been twice to the Emerald Isle and believes that somewhere deep inside him there runs a river of Guinness with a ruddy faced child clogging beside. Brian wishes to thank Katrina, Mitzi and his beautiful wife and daughter; and lastly, he wishes to thank his best Friend.
Dorah Fine (Agnes) is joining the herd with her first appearance at Mad Cow. She has played various roles as a contracted and seasonal performer at Walt Disney World, Sea World and Universal Orlando. Originally from New York, Dorah performed children's theatre Off-Off-Broadway with the 13th Street Repertory Company. She is a proud graduate of Rollins College, where she earned her Bachelors in Theatre Arts. Favorite past theatrical roles include Female Greek Chorus in How I Learned to Drive, God in Arthur Miller's The Creation of the World.... and Other Business, Cecily Pigeon in The Odd Couple, Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof, and Titania in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Special thanks go out to Tony, Nick, Erin, Sarah, Mom, Aba, Brooklyn and most of all, Shippo.
Babette Garber (Costume Designer) received a BFA from Sam Houston State in Texas, where she dove into acting, directing, scene painting, costume design and was a two year member of the dance company. Her costume and scenic work have found their way to the Mad Cow stage on works such as I Am My Own Wife, A Number, Stop Kiss, Kid Simple, Master Herald And The Boys, Blithe Spirit and Desdemona. While she was shop manager at the Orlando Opera Company, she designed The Music Shop and Love and Laughter. Other theatre credits include: My Illustrious Wasteland, an original rock opera from Tod Kimbro, Respect/ OCS, Picasso at the Lapin Agile at Hudson River Players, The Triumph Of Love at the Civic and The Immigrant at Theatre Downtown.
Charlene Getz (Stage Manager) is returning to Mad Cow where she has stage managed Molly Sweeney, The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later and Our Town and excited to revisit Brian Friel with Katrina. At Theatre Winter Haven, Charlene has stage managed Evita, The Sound of Music, Ragtime, Noises Off!, Oklahoma! and My Fair Lady. Charlene is currently a Production Assistant with Disney Creative Entertainment. She began her theatre career in the box office at Candlelight Dinner Theatre in Chicago, received her degree in Arts Administration from Northern Illinois University and worked in various theatres in Chicago including the Goodman, the Shubert and DePaul University. Charlene would like to thank her friends and family for their support and all they teach her every day.
Marion Marsh (Kate) is thrilled to back at Mad Cow. She was last seen at Mad Cow as Claire in The Maids and Mrs. Almond in The Heiress. Marion earned her A.S. degree from Florida School of the Arts, and her B.F.A. in Acting/Directing from Florida Atlantic University. She furthered her education with Dee Wallace and Eli Wallach at Terry Schreiber Studios in New York City. Educational highlights were Master Classes with Joshua Logan, Edward Albee, Zoe Caldwell and the Royal Shakespeare Company. You have seen her in a variety of roles both on-stage and behind, with various Central Florida Theatres including, Theatre Downtown, G.O.A.T and Breakthrough. “No matter who, what, where or when, working in Theatre is a privilege, for which I am eternally grateful!”
Connor Marsico (Gerry) is making his debut performance on the Mad Cow stage in Dancing at Lughnasa. Past performances include roles on stage in Urinetown, The Crucible, and See How They Run. Connor is also a self-taught musician and is proficient at the Ukulele, writing and performing many of his original songs at venues accross the country. Connor can also be seen on the small screen in various commercials and on Discovery Channel's Stolen Voices Buried Secrets this fall. His past studies include time at Savannah College of Art and Design. Currently Connor can be seen daily performing at the Disney Hollywood Studios with The Citizens of Hollywood. He would like to thank his family for all their love and support.
Erin Miner (Lighting Designer) Dancing at Lughnasa marks Erin’s 57th show with Mad Cow Theatre. She is excited to be working with Katrina again.. When not at Mad Cow, she can be found in the fields of Apopka High School as a drama teacher.
Robin Olson (Maggie) was last seen in The Importance of Being Earnest at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater. In addition, she has performed in Pride and Prejudice and The Little Red Riding Hood Show(OST), James and the Giant Peach and Holes at the Orlando Repertory Theater and Barefoot in the Park at UCF. Currently, she is working with students at Howard Middle school in the newly formed Arts Magnet but is most happy to be back in the pasture where she has had the opportunity to perform in Major Barbara, The Glass Menagerie, The Seagull, Bus Stop and On the Verge.
Piper Patterson (Christine) is celebrating her debut moo with Mad Cow. A graduate from the University of Central Florida, with a BFA in Musical theatre, Piper spent the past two summers touring with Missoula Children's Theatre as an Actor/Director. Her travels have taken her to over 30 states across the US with King Arthurs Quest and The Princess and the Pea, directing 60 children each week in a full scale musical and bringing educational theatre workshops to rural towns. Some favorite roles include the Mouse in If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (Greenbrier Valley Theatre), Meg in Leading Ladies (UCF Summer Stage), and Lucretia Borgia in Daedalus (OST's Playfest). Piper is currently pursuing a film/tv career starring in multiple projects by local filmmakers, and regional commercials as well as writing, directing, and producing short films of her own.
KATRINA PLOOF (Director) A native of the great State of Maine, has been a member of the Central Florida arts community for 27 years. Directing credits at Mad Cow include A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Laramie Project, Candida, Our Town, and The Butter & Egg Man. As a playwright she has collaborated with Orlando artist Trudy Bruner on a number of works for young people, including their latest piece, Zarafa, the story of the first giraffe to visit Europe in 1827. Katrina directs and choreographs throughout the southeast and is a member of the Lincoln Center Theatre Director’s Lab in New York. As always she is happy to be back at Mad Cow Theatre.
KURT WAGNER (Sound Design) has designed many Mad Cow productions over the years including Next Fall, Superior Donuts, Topdog/Underdog, The Lion In Winter, The Matchmaker, I Am My Own Wife, Amadeus, Eurydice, Sweeney Todd, Assassins, I Have Before Me A Remarkable Document Given To Me By A Young Lady From Rwanda, The Rainmaker, Talley’s Folly, The Heidi Chronicles, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Seagull, and Kid-Simple. Kurt has been honored with two EMMY nominations and four International Monitor Awards nominations, one of which he won. Kurt currently is teaching as a specialist in the film degree program at Full Sail University. Kurt wishes to thank Mad Cow for providing a welcoming and creative atmosphere for artists and designers to practice their craft through engaging and provocative productions for our community to enjoy.
